Beta test of the new Genial AI OCR

Feel the capability to transcribe text and tables from documents to Excel

Genial Technology (Headquarters: Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan; CEO: Aki Abekawa) is pleased to announce the start of a beta test of its new product, Genial AI OCR, which can automatically read text and tables from documents containing scanned images and transcribe them to Excel.
This beta test will run until September 25, 2024, and we are inviting companies to participate as monitors ahead of time.

■What is Genial AI OCR?

Genial AI OCR has the following key features

• AI-OCR: reads text from images without embedded text
• Clip: Transcribe text or tables from a mouse-selected area into Excel cells.

The official release of this product is scheduled for October 2024, and a beta version was released in early August prior to the official release. We are inviting monitors to try the beta version of Genial AI OCR for two weeks free of charge before the official release.

■About the Beta Test

Businesses participating in the beta test will be able to use all functions of Genial AI OCR free of charge during the test period. After the official release, we will also offer one-month free use.

• After the official release, the official version will be available for one month free of charge.

■Future Prospects

We will incorporate the feedback received from the beta test into future development and aim to launch the official version around October.
We also plan to add a function to extract specified items from atypical documents to an Excel sheet by incorporating a generative AI. Other features requested by our users will be added as they become available.
